Cricket Australia has made multiple changes to their squad for the team’s tour of India as only three matches remain in the five-match T20 series. India has already won the first two games by two wickets and 45 runs in Vishakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram respectively and is on their way to sealing the series with victory in the third T20 match against Australia in Guwahati on 28 November.

Amid the series, The Australian cricket board has called back their 6 World Cup-winning squad members Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, Sean Abbott and Adam Zampa to give them rest after assuring the strategies they had planned were implemented.

“Part of our series strategy was to experiment with Steve (Smith) at the top, and we’ve successfully had that opportunity. We’re delighted with the proactive approach he’s displayed with the bat; in fact, I couldn’t find any fault in it”, said Australia’s head coach for the T20 series, Andre Borovec.
