Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Complete list of cricketers invited for ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony

Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, is set to witness a confluence of leaders, athletes, and celebrities, symbolizing a significant milestone in the centuries-long journey towards the construction of the Ram Temple.
The entire nation is eagerly waiting for the sacred event to get underway which will be attended by several eminent personalities of the nation. Notably, numerous cricketers have been also invited to attend the event such as legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, former World Cup-winning captains Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni are also likely to mark their presence.

Current India cricketers including captain Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli have also received invitations along with some of their teammates. Notably, Kohli specially travelled to Mumbai after India’s second T20I against Afghanistan in Indore to receive the invitation at his Mumbai residence with Bollywood actor wife Anushka Sharma.
Former India women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj is also likely to grace the event while the current captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the latest entrant in the list of invitees on Saturday, January 20.
Notably, Sachin Tendulkar was the first person to receive the invitation followed by MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin and Harmanpreet Kaur who were also presented the invitation. According to reports, Virat Kohli is most likely to attend the sacred event and has been even granted permission by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India).
The Indian cricket team assembled in Hyderabad to prepare for the Test series against England beginning on January 25 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Kohli will reportedly take part in a practice session on Sunday, January 21 and will travel to Ayodhya to attend Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22.
Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present at the grand event.
