‘Bas sajawat ke liye rule bana k rakha hai..’ – Virat Kohli gets out after controversial LBW call on Day 2 of 2nd Test

Australia have been able to dominate India on the second day of the Delhi Test after getting bowled out for 263 runs on Day 1. The hosts scored 179 runs for the loss of 7 wickets after the second session. Nathan Lyon has been Australia’s main anchor with the ball, taking 5 five wickets conceding 41 runs.
Along with Lyon, the debutant Matthew Kuhnemann also clinched everyone’s attention as he took a big wicket of Virat Kohli on his first Test for Australia. Kohli was bowled leg before by Kuhnemann, but when he took a review, the ball seemed to touch the bat and the pad at the same time. The third umpire decided that it was hitting the pads and Kohli was given out LBW as per the umpire’s call.
Kohli’s wicket was a big blow for the hosts as he was batting on 44 runs after India lost 5 wickets for 125 runs. The 34-year-old added 59 runs with Ravindra Jadeja (26 off 74) after India were reduced to 66 for 4. In his innings of 84 balls, Kohli hit four boundaries.
Ashwin and Axar are on the crease
Lyon shattered the Indian top order taking 4 wickets in the first session. He took the wickets of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shreyas Iyer, and KS Bharat. Along with Lyon, Kuhnemann and Todd Murphy shared a wicket each.
India are currently 84 runs behind Australia’s total with Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel on he crease. Axar is unbeaten on 28 runs from 47 balls, hitting four fours and a maximum. Meanwhile, Ashwin has made 11 runs so far 23 balls hitting two boundaries. Skipper got out after scoring 32 runs off 69 ball with two boundaries.
