Australia qualified for the Test Championship final

The final Test of the series will be crucial for both teams as India will be looking to win the series and book their spot in the World Test championship final. Meanwhile, Australia will be looking to draw the series and prevent another series loss against India. The visitors have already qualified for the Test Championship final after winning the Indore Test by nine wickets.

India are currently leading by 2-1 in a four-match and they have retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy after showing dominant performances in Nagpur and Delhi respectively. Spinners have played crucial role on both sides as all three matches ended on the third day. Indian leg spinner Ravindra Jadeja has been the Player of the match for the first two Tests, while Australia’s Nathan Lyon destroyed the Indian batting lineup in the third innings of the Indore Test by taking 8 wickets.

Star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has also been a key player for India, with one five-wicket Haul in the Nagpur Test. Meanwhile, Matthew Kuhnemann, who made his Test debut in this series turned out to be an asset for the visitors with his bowling. He took five wickets in the first inning of the Indore Test as Australia bowled India out for 109 runs.
