Big Blow for Rajasthan! Star Player ruled out of Indian T20 League 2022

Nathan Coulter-Nile was picked up by the Rajasthan team in the mega auctions of the Indian T20 League 2022. They paid a price of INR 2 Cr for the Australian pacer. The Rajasthan team picked him up with the hope that the bowler would make a great pair with Kiwi pacer Trent Boult.

But what comes in a piece of major news, the Australian pacer will miss the rest of the Indian T20 League 2022. He has sustained an injury and as a result, is flying back home. Notably, Coulter-Nile was a part of the first eleven of the Rajasthan in their opening encounter of the tournament against Hyderabad.

In the match, Rajasthan registered a comfortable victory by a margin of 61 runs. Coulter-Nile was asked to bowl the last over of the match by his skipper. As he completed the first bowl of the over, he appeared uncomfortable. His feet did not land properly in the delivery stride and the bowler walk out holding his leg. The over was insignificant in the context of the match and was completed by the per-timer Riyan Parag.

Coulter-Nile has since not featured for the team, and according to the latest news, he will no longer be taking part in the 15^th edition of the tournament. The news was confirmed by the team on their official Twitter page. They posted a short video bidding adieu to the player and captioned it with – “Until we meet again, NCN. Speedy recovery.”

In his IPL career, Coulter-Nile has featured in 39 matches. He has picked up 48 wickets in them at an average of 22.92. His economy rate in the tournament is 7.70. His records tell us that he would have been a valuable member of the Rajasthan squad and they will surely miss him.
