BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024 concludes

Blast Premier

Final matches for the respective spring groups of BLAST Premier have concluded. Four winning teams will now move to the Spring Finals, where they will get a chance to fight for a direct spot in the world finals.

Here are the finalists and winners from each group –

  • Group A

Astralis Vs Team Vitality (Winner)

After losing to Astralis in the group semi-finals, Team Vitality was pushed to the lower bracket. There, they defeated their opponent Falcons to make it into the Group Finals for revenge.

The first match was on Inferno with Astralis picking up a close win of 13-10. The second map was even more intense going into overtime. However, it turned out in favour of Vitality with a 16-14 score. The final map was dominated by Vitality with a 13-6 score.

  • Group B

FaZe (Winner) Vs Liquid

Faze made a comeback after dropping into lower brackets early. However, their win against Liquid was fairly simple, with Faze dominating in both maps.

The first match took place in Nuke, where Liquid put up a great fight. However, they were unable to secure a win. The second map was Mirage, which was dominated by Faze and ended in a 13-9 score.

  • Group C

NAVI (Winner) Vs G2

Despite a solid start, G2 once again failed to take revenge on their early defeat by NAVI. The Ukrainian esports team basically dominated G2 across both maps.

The first map they played was Inferno, ending with a 13-9 scoreline in favour of NAVI. The second map was even more dire for G2 and ended with a 13-5 score.

  • Group D

BIG Vs Virtus.pro (Winners)

Virtus.pro also gave their best and did not let BIG take a single match. After losing at the initial stage against Virtus.pro, BIG once again failed to score a victory against them.

The first match ended with a 13-10 score on Overpass. However, Virtus.pro still kept pushing and did not give a single chance to BIG in the second match too. The teams ended the match with just a 13-6 score.

Not all is lost

However, not everything is lost for the teams losing in the finals. The four losing finalists will now face each other in the Play-ins, where only two will get a chance to move forward to the Spring Finals.

Currently, Astralis will face BIG and G2 Esports will face Team Liquid in the Play-in stages. This will be a single-chance match with only two teams moving to the Spring Finals.
