India have already successfully retained their Border-Gavaskar Trophy for a third successive time after winning the first two tests of the series with ease. A clean sweep of the strong Australians appears more than likely after the humiliation in the first two Test matches. The Australian camp’s confidence is also somewhat low as a result of the absence of numerous big stars for the remainder of the series.
The Border-Gavaskar trophy’s third Test has already been in the news for some time. As soon as Indian captain Rohit announced the team after winning the toss, the fans on social media erupted in cheers to see the young and polished Shubman Gill replace KL Rahul in the Test lineup.
How is the third Test panning out till now?
However, India are in jeopardy after electing to bat first against Australia in the third Test on Wednesday in Indore. After Matt Kuhnemann had taken the first two wickets of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill for the team, Nathan Lyon dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara for one. India also lost Ravindra Jadeja for four along with them, and Shreyas Iyer was unable to open the run-scoring from his bat as he got bowled by Kuhnemann.
Virat Kohli and KS Bharat began to play the ball brilliantly and appeared at ease. This pitch has a lot of spin and bounce, with an average turn of about 4.8 degrees which is quite a lot for a pitch on day one. A good ball costed Virat Kohli his wicket, as the on-field umpire called him out. KS Bharat too got out to an identical ball and it was a positive review by the tourists because the on-field call was not-out

Rahul, the former vice-captain of the Indian Test team was replaced by the young and shining Shubman Gill in the third Test in Indore against Australia. Gill could not make most of his opportunity but still showed a lot of confidence during the time he spent at the crease.
