Cloud9 and MOUZ qualifies for PGL CS2 Major
Cloud9 and MOUZ have defeated their opponents and made their way to the PGL CS2 Major. Surprise, as in Cloud9 defeating Team Vitality and MOUZ defeating Team Spirit.
Team Vitality contains some of the powerhouses in Counter Strike esports and were presumably the stronger team. Despite that, Cloud9 has got the best of them.
Similarly, Team Spirit has been in the centre of headlines defeating teams like Faze, NaVi and ENCE. However, MOUZ shut them down at the European RMR. Both the teams did not get a chance to face each other at the IEM Katowice.
Vitality and Spirit movies to round 4
With their first defeat, both Vitality and Spirit will now have to play another match and win in order to qualify. While Vitality did put up a fight against Cloud9, Team Spirit lost 2-0 against MOUZ.
Since both of the teams have already won two games, they do not face a direct elimination. However, a loss means moving to Round 5 where the team will face the risk of being sent to the Decider bracket.
Any team moving to decider bracket, know that only one will move forward, as it is considered one last chance to all teams. Few other teams who are also facing the like Astralis, GamerLegion and Monte are in a similar situation.
Round 4 matchups
High Matches
Apeks Vs ECSTATIC
Team Vitality Vs ENCE
Team Spirit Vs Heroic
Low Matches
Monte Vs Astralis
OG Vs GamerLegion
Guild Eagles Vs Preasy Esport
Both High and Low matches have promotion and elimination games and will be played in a best-of-three format. If Astralis do not win all of its remaining games, they will be eliminated, ending their run for this year’s PGL Copenhagen.
