Cricket Australia has exclusively released the squad for the upcoming Australia tour of India for their women’s cricket team. Australia women’s cricket team and Indian women’s cricket team will meet for a test match, along with 3ODI and three T20I matches across two venues in Maharashtra.

Australian women’s cricket team’s star performer Alyssa Healy has been named in the squad however she remains under the supervision of the medical team considering her finger injury. Australia’s national selector Shawn Flegler discussed the injury updates of the squad.

“Alyssa Healy’s finger is healing but remains in a splint and our medical team are continuing to monitor her recovery closely. We’re obviously very hopeful she will be available for the Test, but those decisions are still a while away,” said the Australian national team selector Shawn Flegler.

“Lauren Cheatle has overcome significant injury setbacks and thoroughly deserves her place in the squad through her performances over the past six months. Lauren has playing experience in India and provides another fast-bowling option, particularly regarding the Test match, which is the format she has been selected for,” he added.

“Lauren has playing experience in India (she played three of her seven T20Is for Australia during the T20 World Cup in India in 2016) and provides another fast-bowling option, particularly regarding the Test match, which is the format she has been selected for,” said Shawn.
