Danish Kaneria relentlessly bashes Pakistan bowlers after poor show against England
Once again, Rawalpindi has produced a docile wicket for the ongoing first Test match between Pakistan and England. In March this year, the pitch curator was criticized for producing a flat track in a Test match against Australia. Meanwhile, around nine months after the incident, it seems that the Asian side hasn’t learned its lesson. In the ongoing game, they dished out another docile wicket.
It could have been the home team’s strategy to make the most runs in the first innings after winning the toss and electing to bat first. However, the visiting team won the toss and made Pakistan pay for the wicket. On the first day on December 1, the Three Lions amassed 506/4 with four batters scoring a hundred.
With this, they became the first team to score 500 runs on the first day of a Test match. On the ongoing second day, they amassed 657 all-out in just 101 overs, which was also a record. In reaction to this, the former Pakistan leg-spinner has absolutely bashed the home team. He even called them, ‘Bakri’ a term used by people in Pakistan to indicate cowardice
“In dead pitches, these bowlers will be exposed because these are Bakri (incompetent) bowlers who don’t know where to bowl.”
“Nobody bowled full-length deliveries. You get wickets on that length and not from behind.”
“The thought is to play the World Test Championship final. How will you reach by playing such cricket, making such pitches, playing such players and combination?”
