37-year-old Left-handed batter David Warner will not be available for the final T20 against New Zealand in Auckland. He was suffering from an adductor injury. But Warner is expected to fit before the start of IPL (Indian Premier League).
Warner would not feature in 2nd T20 against New Zealand due to groin soreness and it will take some weeks to fully recover. David Warner have already announced retirement from Test and ODI cricket and he will retire after this year ICC T20 World Cup.
However, his injury will not affect his participation in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), 2024. ITS a relief for the Capitals team  management. Already Rishabh Pant was not play any match in last season due to his horrible injury. David Warner was captaining Delhi in last year. David Warner played first T20 against New Zealand on February 21 and scored 32 runs off 20 balls.

David Warner’s performance till now in the series 

After his fiery knock, he gets booed by the crowds. He looked in a strange way and responded by blowing a kiss to the haters. The great man has played 103 T20Is till now and scored over 3300 runs in this format.

Because of Warner’s injury, right-handed batter Steve Smith got chance to play in the 2nd T20i. Smith played as an opener with Travis Head. But he was unable to capitalize his chance. He scored 11 runs off 7 balls. but Australia won the T20 match by 72 runs and won the 3 match T20 series. Australia will play their 3rd T20 on 25th February in Auckland. After the injury of Warner Cricket Australia announced the squad for the third T20I.
