India’s star all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja was busy playing for his country against England across all three formats. He also came up with some fantastic performances, especially by scoring a Test ton outside of Asia for the first time at Edgbaston in that one-off Test match.

But, his rumoured rift with the Chennai franchise is still the talk of the town after what happened with him during the last edition of the Indian T20 League. Now, on 18 July 2022, he was seen to share a status that seemed to take an indirect dig at his franchise. The post went viral quickly and got shared by fans on Twitter.

Here is the shared post on Twitter:

Earlier this month, Ravindra Jadeja removed all his Chennai posts from his Instagram account

Speaking of the current shared post, Jadeja wrote: “Don’t lower your standards for anyone or anything. Self-respect is everything”. These words made fans think that he took an indirect dig at Chennai Management. In the last edition of the Indian T20 League, he was the captain of the side. However, Jadeja returned that captaincy baton to MS Dhoni in the middle of that tournament as he got ruled out of injury.

Earlier this month, he fueled his rift rumours with Chennai as he deleted all his Chennai Posts from his Instagram account. Even, when he asked about such rumours at a press conference after the Edgbaston Test match, he just denied talking about it. “What happened, happened. Indian T20 League was not on my mind. Whenever you are playing for India, your entire focus needs to be on the Indian team. It was the same for me, there is no better satisfaction than performing well for the Indian cricket team.” Jadeja added in reply.

However, after winning the T20I and ODI series against England, Jadeja will be in action again for India when they visited West Indies. He is also chosen as the deputy of the new captain, Shikhar Dhawan for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the Caribbeans.
