The game of cricket can be a great leveller for any player. It takes a player to new heights and can bring him down in the dust in no time. One such incident was seen during the Bangalore vs Kolkata game in the ongoing Indian T20 League on March 30 as star Indian pacer Ishant Sharma was seen in the virtual guest box after being unsold in the mega auction.
The fans were shocked to see the 2013 Champions Trophy winner on the screen instead of on the ground. Some of the fans watching the game expressed their disappointment on Ishant’s downfall.
The Delhi pacer last played a competitive game during India’s Test series at home against New Zealand. He played the first game of the two-match series, which ended in a nail-biting draw. Since then, the Indian team has played the Test series against South Africa and Sri Lanka. The 33-year-old warmed the bench during the South Africa series, while the lanky pacer was not considered for the home series against Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the last time he played an ITL game was for Delhi in the 2020 season. During that season, he got injured and was ruled out of the entire season. Meanwhile, one of the fans watching the Bangalore vs Kolkata game wrote “Feel For Him, Ek Time Pr India Ka Best Bowler Tha”. Another fan wrote “Unreal Downfall man”.
