4.Ravi Ashwin Mankads Jos Buttler: One of the most talked-about moments of the Indian T20 League’s 2019 season was an incident that took place in a league match between Rajasthan and Punjab.
Jos Buttler, the attacking wicket-keeper batsman from England was at the non-striker’s end and looking to back up a bit too much, which was noticed by Ashwin. Ashwin thus did not complete his bowling action and took the bails off the stumps with Buttler out of the crease. The umpire immediately declared Buttler out according to the norms.
The incident got the cricketing fraternity divided into two on the issue of the spirit of the game. While a group was of the opinion that it was not a proper display of sportsmanship by Ashwin, others were of the opinion that he was right in doing so if it is in the rule books.
