The mega auction for the Indian T20 League 2022 is around the corner and the teams are planning on how to build their team. Teams were allowed to retain a maximum of four players ahead of player retentions last year. They will have a total of 590 players to pick during the two-day event in Bangalore. In this listicle, we will discuss the five pacers, who can start a bidding war in the auction.

Here is the list of five players who can start a bidding war

Trent Boult

The Kiwi left-arm pacer has played for Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai since making his debut in the ITL. Till now, he has played 62 games and has 76 scalps to his name averaging 26.09. A left-arm pacer is a great utility for a team in all forms of the game. He is no different as he can bring the new ball back into the right-hander which makes him a difficult bowler to deal. The 32-year-old was released by Mumbai last year.

Kagiso Rabada

The Proteas pacer can attract big bucks in the auction. In 50 games for Delhi, he has picked 76 wickets, averaging 20.52 at a strike-rate of 15. He was the purple cap winner in 2020 season. The right-arm pacer has been the spearhead of the bowling whether he plays for his national side or league cricket. Last year, the 2020 runner-ups released him. However, it is likely that the franchise will go after him alongside other teams.
