Former India spinner Rahul Sharma hailed former India opener Gautam Gambhir on Twitter for his invaluable support in caring for his mother-in-law. For those who were unaware, Rahul’s mother-in-law was in serious condition due to a brain hemorrhage.
However, according to recent developments, the 44-year-old said that Gambhir was the one who saved his mother’s life at a critical moment. He continued by saying that the 2011 World Cup winner cricketer got his mother-in-law the best neurologist and secured her admission to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi with the aid of his personal assistant, Gaurav Arora.
Rahul continued by stating that the operation went well and expressing his gratitude to all those who assisted him during this difficult time. Following the successful operation, Rahul posted heartfelt images of his mother-in-law to his Twitter account.

“Last month was very difficult. My mother-in-law had brain hemorrhage, she was in critical condition. Thank you Gautam Gambhir paaji & ( his PA Gaurav Arora) who helped me in such difficult time & he provided the best neurologist and hospital in such a short time and the surgery has been done successfully. Now she is absolutely fine. Thanks to Gangaram hospital and their staff for excellent care. Special thanks to Dr. Manish Chugh, your compassionate treatment is miraculous,” Rahul captioned the post.
Gambhir is currently acting as the franchise’s mentor for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL 2023. With 11 games completed, they have a total of 11 points and a Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.294, Lucknow is now third in the IPL points standings. Given that the team has lost two of its past three games and had one canceled, it will need to quickly resume winning ways. LSG will try to win the remaining games to clinch their spot in the playoffs with three games left in the group stage.
KL Rahul’s injury, which will keep him out for the rest of the season, struck the team with a serious setback. It would be interesting to see if Lucknow returns to winning ways as Krunal Pandya has the burden of guiding the side. On Saturday, May 13, LSG and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
