Gen.G Esports enters PUBG Mobile esports scene
Popular South Korean organization esports organization Gen.G has entered the PUBG Mobile esports scene. The team have now signed five players, including a coach, to compete in international PUBG Mobile events.
This came a day before Gen.G was announced as one of the twelve partnered teams for the 2024 PUBG Mobile season in South Korea. This means that the team will get a chance to compete in every major tournament this year.

Gyeong Jun “JUNI” Kim
Hyunwoo “Machao” Kim
Jeong Uk Han (Playing Coach)
These are some well-known names in the PUBG Mobile esports scene and has been playing PUBG Mobile for a long time. Missile has multiple major tournaments and is believed to be the IGL for the team.
Jeong Uk Han also known as ZZP is also an ex-professional player. ZZP has been active in the PUBG Mobile scene for the last four years and will now be acting as a coach for Gen.G players.
Is PUBG Mobile still competitive in 2024?
It has been some time since PUBG Mobile was released, and players might be wondering if it is still popular. The game was released back in 2018 and took the mobile esports world by storm, competing with other games like Garena Free Fire.
After almost six years of release, the game is still pulling in viewers. While the game has seen multiple additions since its release, it is still in the top five most-watched mobile esports titles.
Fans and viewership for PUBG Mobile both saw a significant increase, prompting that the esports scene for the game is very much alive and thriving.
