Virat Kohli has been grabbing the headlines for quite a while now. After India lost the three-match Test series to South Africa by 1-2, the 33-year-old announced his decision to step down as India’s captain in the longest format of the game. However, he will continue to entertain the fans with his amazing batting skills.

The Indian team is lucky to not only have him, but Rohit Sharma as well. Both of them are arguably two of the greatest batters currently, and holds several batting records to their name. Thus, Harbhajan Singh recently went on to speak about the two batters.

While speaking to Sports Today, the “Turbanator” went on to say that Rohit Sharma is his favourite batter. Although he did mention the fact that Kohli and KL Rahul are equally good, he said he is more fond of the Mumbai batter. He also stated that the Mumbai  skipper makes batting look really easy.

“Favourite batsman: Rohit Sharma. Whether T20, one-day cricket, Test cricket, when Rohit is batting, he is unbelievable. He has got so much of time, he makes batting look very, very easy,” said Harbhajan Singh. “I think Rohit is probably the best batsman in world cricket, with all due respect to others like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. They are equally good as well but when Rohit plays, he is a different level altogether. So Rohit is my favourite batsman,” he added.

The former offie also had heaps of praises for Jasprit Bumrah. He felt that the pacer was “top-class”. Thus Singh said that he and Sharma are his two favourite players. “Coming to bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah I think is a class apart. Whether we talk about T20s, one-dayers or Test cricket, Jasprit Bumrah is a top-class bowler. These are my two favourite players,” he said.

It is to be noted that Sharma recently recovered from an injury, and was deemed fit. Thus, as the BCCI recently announced the limited-overs squads for the upcoming home series against the West Indies, the 34-year-old returned to the squad to lead the team.
