‘I will miss AB if Bangalore wins title this year’ – Virat Kohli missing ‘buddy’ ABD in Indian T20 League 2022
Once again, the Bangalore team has entered the Indian T20 League 2022 with the expectation of winning the title. They have played the finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016 and reached the playoffs in 2009 and 2015. However, they haven’t been able to win even a single title since the inception of the tournament in 2008. Virat Kohli has led the team in some of these seasons.
Bangalore started their Indian T20 League campaign against Punjab and suffered a crushing loss. However, Kohli is confident that the team will go the distance this season. The former skipper said that if Bangalore wins the title this year, he will AB de Villiers. The right-hander was speaking to host Danish Sait in the video shared by the franchise on their Twitter handle.
“It’s very strange,” said Kohli when asked about how he feels not having one of his best friends around. “The other day, it got me thinking, if we manage to win the title in the coming seasons, I would be very emotional thinking about him first. Rather than what I would experience after such hard work of so many years, I would actually think of him,” said Kohli.
Kohli added that it would mean a lot to him if De Villiers is watching the game from his home. “It would still mean a lot to him even if he is watching the game from home. He is a special human being as he has touched everyone, and we all can vouch for that,” he added.
