IEM Katowice 2024; Group stage match-ups
Cloud9, ENCE, Apeks and Rebels Gaming have become the final four teams on the IEM 2024 Group Stages. In the most recent Play-In matches, the team bested their opponents to secure a spot.
Now that the Play-In has concluded, teams will now be joining another for Group Stages of IEM Katowice 2024. A total of 16 teams will face each other to reach the playoffs. A total of eight teams qualified through Play-In, and eight others made their way through direct invites.
The winner of the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024 will take home $400,000 out of the$1 million prize pool. Along with that, the team will also receive 3,000 points.
Group Stage Format
All 16 teams will be divided into two groups of Eight. Matches will be played in a double-elimination best-of-three format. All teams will be starting in the upper bracket.
The First loss will send the team to the lower bracket of respective groups. Anyone losing in the lower bracket is eliminated from Group Stages.

Playoffs Format
The top three teams from each group will secure a spot in the playoffs. The winner of each group will get an advantage. The second and third places will face each other first, and the loser will be eliminated from the playoffs.
The winner will move forward to the next match. All matches in the playoffs will be best-of-three except the grand finals, which will be best-of-five. The winner of the finals will secure a direct invite to the IEM Cologne 2024 and BLAST Premier World Final.
