In the first Test match against Sri Lanka, Ravindra Jadeja scored a century. The all-rounder looked in good touch throughout his innings and barely committed an error. He built good partnerships with Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin to get India to a good position early on in the match.

Jadeja broke into his famous sword celebration as soon as he got to his hundred in the 111th over. The crowd and his teammates, all gave him a standing ovation as he achieved this feat. Mohammed Siraj, his teammate, was also very excited for him. He too emulated Jadeja’s sword celebration with a bottle in his hand.

A Twitter user pointed this out and suggested that Siraj should be the next Chinna Thala.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja was been exceptional with the bat on a batting-friendly Mohali wicket. He has maintained a strike rate of over 60 throughout and built some good partnerships with the middle-order and lower-order batters. He had hundred run stands with Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin for 5th and 6th wicket partnerships.

Mohammed Siraj, on the other hand, has not been included in the playing XI for the first match as India opted for two fast bowlers in the match. However, he has become a very important bowler for the Indian team in the longest format. He has done well for the team in the 12 matches that he has played for the Indian team.

The Indian team has done well to dominate Sri Lanka in the first match so far and look set to take the win and the lead in the first match.
