India’s ace all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja recently got in an exclusive conversation with Star Sports during India’s tour of West Indies and revealed how the Indian squad deals with the high-pressure encounter games with the archrivals Pakistan. Ever since India has broken the ties of having bilateral series with Pakistan, the duo only meet in Continental and international tournaments, which increases the relevance and attention of the encounters.

However, like his fellow teammates, Ravindra Jadeja also went on record to claim that the Indian cricket team does not give special treatment towards India vs Pakistan clashes and treats them fairly like all the other opponents. Jadeja also talked about how India vs Pakistan matches gather more attention. Hence, the players put their best foot forward and play according to the best of their abilities.

Ravindra Jadeja on India vs Pakistan high-pressure matches

“When there’s a match between India and Pakistan, there are high expectations to win, but for us, any match involving India holds the same level of importance as an India-Pakistan match. However, yes, the India-Pakistan match garners more attention, and we strive to perform to the best of our abilities,” said Ravindra Jadeja during an exclusive chat with Star Sports.

“We aim to deliver our performance and play as well as we can, but sometimes things don’t go as planned. This is a game, and the players from both sides are representing their respective countries. In my opinion, both teams are in the game to win. While you can put in proper focus and give your 100% on the field, there’s no guarantee of a particular outcome,” added Ravindra Jadeja.

“You can give your best effort and play to win, but at the end of the day, if the result doesn’t go your way, there’s nothing much you can do. The main thing is to give your all and play to win,” concluded Ravindra Jadeja.
