India vs England, fifth Test- 4 match-ups you shouldn’t want to miss

The rescheduled fifth Test between India and England is slated to be played from 1^st to 5^th June 2022. Having taken a 2-1 lead in the series with one game left, India have a great opportunity to win a Test series in England for the first time since 2007. Many changes have taken place since the last Test was played between these two sides.

Rohit Sharma is the new captain of the Indian team across formats, while Ben Stokes has been appointed as England’s new red-ball skipper. Joe Root and Virat Kohli both have stepped down from their leadership roles but remain an integral part of their respective teams.

Since the appointment of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum as captain and coach respectively, England are looking a completely different side. They are coming into the game on the back of a 3-0 win in the Test series against New Zealand. Ben Stokes and Co. will certainly pose a big challenge to the Indian Cricket Team.

1. Virat Kohli and James Anderson

Fans love watching India play the Test series in England as they get to see Virat Kohli face James Anderson. The two have had a great rivalry, over the years. Both have had great success against each other in the past. James Anderson accounted for the wicket of Virat Kohli four times in 2014 series, while the latter took strong revenge in 2018.

Kohli made a staggering 593 runs, overall and scored 114 runs against James Anderson without getting out on a single occasion throughout the series. In 2021, he scored 11 runs in 52 balls against James Anderson and got out once. Ahead of the fifth Test, fans are eager to watch two veteran players  take on each other in Birmingham.
