Indian T20 League 2022: Match 3 – Three reasons why Bangalore lost match

Punjab and Bangalore faced off against each other in the third match of the Indian T20 League 2022. Bangalore scored a huge total of 205 runs but still lost the match. Skipper Faf Du Plessis scored 88 runs from 57 deliveries. But Punjab chased down the target in the 19th overs of their innings. Odean Smith finished the match with a flourish, scoring 25 runs off 8 deliveries. Here are three reasons for which Bangalore finished on the wrong side.
1. Weak Power Play Bowling: Punjab scored 71 runs off the first 6 overs without losing a single wicket. This set the chase of Punjab on course. With a huge total under their belt, Bangalore could have put Punjab under pressure if they picked up a wicket or two at the beginning of the Punjab innings. But Bangalore could not do that and conceded an advantage to Punjab.
