Indian T20 League 2022: Mumbai vs Delhi – Top 10 Memes

Mumbai and Delhi faced each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai didn’t have anything at stake but Bangalore needed them to win at any cost for their playoff qualification. On the other hand, Delhi’s win would have ensured their place in the playoffs and Bangalore would have been eliminated. In this game, Mumbai won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Delhi had a poor start as they lost four wickets for 50 runs inside nine overs. The likes of David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, and Sarfaraz Khan failed to make any impact. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets in this phase while Daniel Sams and Mayank Markande took one each. Skipper Rishabh Pant and Rovman Powell added 75 runs for the fifth wicket. The team could only score 34 runs in the last four overs and lost two wickets.
Delhi ended with a score of 159/7 at the end of the innings. Powell (48) missed out on the half-century but was the highest scorer for the team. The next highest scorer was Pant (39). For Mumbai, Bumrah took three wickets, Ramandeep Singh took two, and Markande and Sams took one each. In reply, Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma struggled badly in the first five overs. He could only score two runs in 13 balls.
Ishan Kishan (48) missed out on a fifty but provided a great platform for the next batters. Dewald Brewis, who was playing the game after warming the bench in the last few games, scored a useful 37. Tim David came and scored an explosive 11-ball 34 runs including four sixes and two fours. He brought down the required run-rate from over 10 runs to a little more than six. He couldn’t finish the game but took the team close.
His innings just didn’t help his side but also his former team, Bangalore, who were routing for Mumbai’s win. The five-time winners won the game by five wickets and ended their season on a high.
