Indian T20 League: Here’s how the teams look after Mega Auction

The Indian T20 League mega auction lived up to the buzz that was going around before the two-day mega event. The mega auction saw the teams battling out to get their desired players in their squad. In the end, all teams will be happy with the players they roped in for the next season. Mumbai Indians didn’t make many purchases on Day 1 of the auction but got a few big players in the squad on the final day. They roped in Jofra Archer and Tim David, which makes their squad look daunting. 

Chennai also went all out at Deepak Chahar and purchased him for INR 14 crores. Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad also made some interesting picks. Two new teams, Lucknow and Gujarat were a bit conservative but will be happy at the end of the day.

 Ishan Kishan was the most expensive player as he was sold to Mumbai for a price of 15.25 crores. As many as 10 players were sold at a price of over 10 crores. Few veterans like David Warner and Quinton de Kock were sold around 6 crores, which was a surprise but the franchises won’t complain. Few big names like Suresh Raina, Steve Smith, Eoin Morgan among others also went unsold.
