‘Indian T20 League toh khel lega na?’ – Fans bash Jasprit Bumrah as reports of him missing entire Border-Gavaskar Trophy emerge
India pacer Jasprit Bumrah hasn’t played the game since being ruled out due to a stress fracture in September last year. Since then, he missed the Men’s 20-20 World Cup 2022 and quite a few bilateral series. He was set to make his comeback in the white-ball series against New Zealand at home. However, the doctor at the NCA advised him to rest more.
After a while, it was reported that the right-arm pacer might make his return to the national side for the third Test against Australia. However, it is now reported by Telegraph that the Gujarat player might be ruled out of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series. With this reported development, the fans aren’t happy. They have been bashing Bumrah and are speculating that he will make his comeback in the Indian T20 League 2023.

But still he will play the entire IPL as he can't risk missing those imp games even if it means missing WTC final if we qualify.

Jasprit Bumrah sustained his second stress fracture in three years
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Bumrah has sustained a stress fracture in his career. In 2019, the five-time Indian T20 League winner was set to play his first Test in India. However, ahead of the three-match Test series, the 28-year-old was ruled out of the series. Bumrah made his comeback in the New Zealand tour in 2020.
Eventually, he played his first Test in India two years ago against England. Last year, after the England tour, he was rested for the Zimbabwe series and was hoping to play in the Men’s Asia Cup 2022. However, he picked up an injury and was ruled out. In September last year, he made his comeback in the first T20I against Australia, only to be ruled out again. Now, it will be interesting to see whether he keeps playing all formats of the game.
The Indian team management might consider him playing in some of the formats such as Tests or ODI. With the ODI World Cup coming this year, he might not play T20I games at all.
