 India’s schedule for T20 World Cup 2024 out; to lock horns against Pakistan on 9th June

After a successful campaign in the ODI World Cup 2023, the Indian team will eye the next major cricket tournament, the T20 World Cup 2024 which will be conducted in a hybrid model in West Indies and the USA from 1 June 2024. As per the sources, the Indian cricket team is expected to play all their matches of the group stage in the USA followed by the Super 8 stage games in the West Indies if the team qualifies for the quarter-finals. 

The Indian cricket team is expected to kickstart their T-20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Ireland on June 5, followed by the most thrilling encounter in the history of Cricket, against Pakistan on June 9 in New York. India will lock horns against the United States of America on 9th June at the same venue and conclude the group stage match against Canada on June 15 in Florida.

T20 World Cup 2024 Format 

All the participating teams will be divided into four groups, with five teams each. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the Super 8’s Round. The 8 qualifying teams will once again be divided into two groups, comprising four teams each. The top two of both the groups will then qualify for the knockout semi-final matches and the winner of both the encounters will qualify for the final match of the T-20 World Cup 2024.

T20 World Cup 2024 Venue List 

T20 World Cup 2024 comprises multiple venues across the United States of America and the West Indies. A new stadium in New York was approved by the Apex Cricket Council for the marquee tournament which is followed by two major stadiums in Florida, making three venues in the USA for the championship and 7 venues in the West Indies.
