2. Rinku Singh can take some pressure off Andre Russell
Andre Russell’s performance with the bat thus far in the tournament has been quite average. In the four matches he has played this season, the West Indian all-rounder has registered scores of 35, 0, 1 and 3, and he appears to be a shell of his former self. He bowled against Sunrisers Hyderabad for the first time in the competition and claimed three wickets, however, he needed assistance leaving the pitch due to an injury. KKR will be concerned about Russell’s injuries as well as his recent performance with the bat. The team needs their star all-arounder to be at the top of his game, but his campaign has been marred by fitness issues.
