This day will go down in Indian Premier League (IPL) history as it marks the IPL 2024 retention day on November 26. Notably, all ten teams have already been discussing for a long time which players would be most worthy to remain with them for another season. However, some players could see themselves released as long as they don’t suit the respective teams.

However, all teams must submit the players they have traded with on other teams by 4 p.m. today. In addition, the teams also have to make public a list of the players from the previous season that they are going to retain this year as well. The players whom the team chooses not to keep would then be up for grabs at the auction the following month. Notably, the auction is likely to take place on November 19 in Dubai, ahead of IPL 2024.

Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League (IPL) recently announced the completion of three trades. Notably, star pacer Avesh Khan was traded to the Rajasthan Royals, and Devdutt Padikkal signed with the Lucknow Super Giants. However, there’s a chance that another all-cash trade will take place later today.

Notably, the Indian Premier League will see the trade of a skipper between teams for the third time in its IPL history. According to reports, the Mumbai Indians are excited about bringing back their GT skipper Hardik Pandya to their team for 15 crores. This will be the biggest event in the history of the IPL. However, it will be interesting to see which players MI will release to bring Pandya into the squad.

Star Sports is going to broadcast an exclusive show on IPL 2024 retention. The live broadcast will air on Star Sports 2 and Star Sports 1 Hindi between 4 PM and 6 PM IST. However, there seems to be a special presentation on JioCinema as well on the digital platform, but there is not much speculation about the OTT platform.
