Ishan Kishan reaches Jamnagar to attend Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding festivities amid snub from India’s central contract list
Ishan Kishan has been one of the raging topics of discussion in the cricketing as well as the entertainment industry for the past few days. Ishan has not played for India in any of the formats since last year’s November and was not even included in the annual contract list of the Indian Cricket Board for the year 2023-24 which took everyone by surprise.
Ishan Kishan has not spoken about anything, which has been going around him yet but amid all the chaos involving the Indian Cricket Board annual contract. The 25-year-old recently arrived at Jamnagar to attend Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities.
Many leading personalities from different professional spheres have arrived to attend the wedding and Ishan Kishan was also one of them as he has a strong Mumbai Indians connection with the Ambanis. Ishan Kishan had worn a black shirt and cap along with sunglasses upon his arrival.

Ishan Kishan asked for a break from cricket due to mental fatigue before the South Africa test series last year. Since then he hasn’t made himself available for selection in the Indian Test team. During this time the Indian Cricket Board even asked him to play Ranji Trophy for his domestic team- Jharkhand which he didn’t do and was practising with Hardik Pandya for the IPL. Subsequently, he was axed from the Indian Cricket Board’s annual retainers for not playing domestic cricket.
Cricketers galore at Anant Ambani’s wedding
The Ambani family is among the most powerful families in the world let alone India which is why there is there is galore of celebrities and famous personalities from different walks of life who have arrived at the wedding of Anant Ambani. The Ambani family has a strong cricket connection too and their franchise Mumbai Indians is among the most successful cricketing franchisees in the world which is why many cricketers were also spotted attending the wedding.
Among them, some of the most prominent names were of MS Dhoni who arrived at the function along with his wife. Trent Boult also has arrived in India to attend the pre-wedding festivities from New Zealand. The other cricketers who were spotted at the function were Surya Kumar Yadav, Dwayne Bravo, and Sam Curran.
