In the Indian Super League 2022-23, Jamshedpur FC will be looking to defend its title. They won the previous edition after finishing first in the points table. This was Jamshedpur’s maiden title after making its debut in the tournament in 2017-18. Talking about the team’s performance last season, they secured 43 wins from 13 wins and 4 draws along with only 3 losses. At that time, the team was coached by Owen Coyle.

He and Greg Stewart have left the team despite the team doing well. This time around, the team will be coached by Aidy Boothroyd. He happens to be the former coach of the England U21 team. He is a former England international player. The 51-year-old has led elite English clubs like Watford, Colchester United, Northampton Town, and Coventry City. In addition to running these clubs, Boothroyd was in charge of the development of young English footballers who went on to represent England at the UEFA Euro 2020 and the FIFA World Cup 2018.
