‘It hurts to see him struggle like this’: Twitter reacts as Virat Kohli bags another golden duck

Bangalore is facing Hyderabad in the 36^th match of the Indian T20 League 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Kane Williamson won the seventh toss in the tournament in as many matches and decided to field first.

Bangalore was 5 without loss after the first over when Marco Jansen came to bowl. The South African pacer bowled a brilliant over picking up three wickets conceding three runs of the over. He picked up the wicket of his South African skipper Faf du Plessis on the second ball of the over. This brought Virat Kohli into the middle and the fans were hoping for redemption of the king after a golden duck in the last match.

But as Jansen bowled a full-pitched delivery around the off-stump Kohli tried to push it with hard hands. This resulted in an edge that landed safely in the hands of Aiden Markram in the second slip. Kohli stood in disbelief and then walked off with disappointment. His whole gesture summed up the situation that at the moment nothing is going right for the man.

Fans and supporters immediately took to Twitter to express their disbelief and disappointment with Kohli’s current form. Everyone expressed their surprise as to what has happened to the most prolific run-scorer of the recent times. While expressing their disappointment the fans also hoped that he gets back to his old ways and starts scoring runs the way we all have seen him scoring previously.

Talking of the match, Bangalore has lost their three main pillars of the batting in Du Plessis, Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell inside the powerplays. The men in red and golden are 31 for 4 down after the sixth over, when this article is being written.
