Ravindra Jadeja made his debut in December 2012 against England. Till then he has played 69 Tests. In his illustrious career, he would’ve played more Tests and white-ball games but because of his several injuries, he has suffered a lot. The 35-year-old all-rounder from India has scored 2893 runs and taken 280 wickets.

Jadeja missed the second Test against England at Visakhapatnam because of his hamstring injury. The third Test of the series will be played in Rajkot in his hometown. Jadeja is 35 now, he made it clear that he wants to protect his body for his betterment, no matter how.

“I would like to give my 100% and save my body and keep away from diving when not required. That’s it. I don’t think about that too much because it has happened before. As the match progresses, the body will get used to the flow and you will forget that there was an injury. I will get into a rhythm in one or two days,” Jadeja told in the press conference.

Jadeja said that he would protect his body on the field, but there’s no guarantee that he won’t get injured yet again.

“I can get injured again tomorrow. I can work on my body more smartly, do it carefully, and hope there will be no problem. But there is no guarantee,” he continued.

In the last two years, the ace all-rounder of India has been sidelined five times due to injuries. Ravindra Jadeja has suffered from thumb, forearm, rib, and knee since 2021. Recently he suffered from a hamstring injury. He felt frustrated because of his random injury concerns.

“It is frustrating but the cricket has increased these days and that is at the back of the mind always. I can’t hide anywhere in the field, I am always in hotspots in any format and that may be the reason,” Jadeja explained in the press conference.

In the absence of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul is in the middle-order. India will play with an inexperienced middle-order. Ravindra Jadeja will play a crucial role in this Test series and is very confident about it.
