Australia’s star cricketer, David Warner, has played his last T20I game on his home soil. Notably, the Australia team suffered a defeat by 37 runs against the West Indies in the third T20I game on February 13 in Perth; however, they went on to win the series by 2-1. The left-handed batter has opened up about his emotions after playing his last game on his home soil.

The star opening batter says that he is truly done with cricket, and now is the time for the young players to come and enjoy the game. In addition, the top-order batter feels that he will currently focus on the T20I series against New Zealand, the IPL, and then the T20 World Cup in 2024. The 37-year-old cricketer feels that it’s the youngsters’ job to take his place for Aussies.

“I’m well and truly done, it’s time for the youngsters to come through and show their talent. Good to see the boys play. I’ve got a lot of time off after the next series in New Zealand before the IPL and then to get ready for the T20 World Cup. It’s great to spend quality time with my kids and just be home. I was surprised that an opening bowler bowling 145+ wasn’t trying to get me out. I’m well and truly done, wave got so many youngsters, it’s time for them to do the job,” David Warner said after Australia’s 37-run loss to West Indies in the third T20I.
