‘Junior Boom Boom is here’ – Fans react as Jasprit Bumrah gets blessed with a baby boy

The Indian cricket team’s ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah and his wife, a famous cricket presenter, Sanjana Ganesan, were blessed with a baby boy on Monday, 4 September. Bumrah, who is representing the Indian cricket team in the Asia Cup 2023, is missing the team’s match against Nepal. 

The Asia Cup is being conducted in a hybrid model in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. However, all the matches of the Indian team will be held in Sri Lanka. As per reports, Bumrah has flown back to his hometown Mumbai from Sri Lanka to attend the birth of his baby and is expected to be back for the Super 4s stage.

Bumrah and his wife drafted a heartfelt note in a common post on their social media accounts, which announced that the couple has welcomed their little baby boy whom they have named Angad Jasprit Bumrah. The caption of the post said, “Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it ❤️”. 

As soon as the Indian speedster announced the unexpected news, the fans bombarded his post with likes and comments. India’s attacking batsman Suryakumar Yadav commented, “Congratulations to both of you,” while Dinesh Karthik said, “Many congratulations for the baby boy, Angad! Now mastering the Yorker won’t be enough, gotta be a master of diaper changes too”. Cheteshwar Pujara commented, “Congratulations to you and Sanjana on your bundle of joy. Welcome to the club :),” and Hardik Pandya dropped a heart emoji. 

Bollywood actresses, Anushka Sharma and Hazel Keech congratulated the couple and said, “Wonderful news! Join the all-night-feeding club! Congratulations! Enjoy the snuggles, this time next year they’ll be a little person, it flys by too quickly,” and Ritika Sajdeh and Devisha Suryakumar Yadav also congratulated the couple.
