‘Kaptaan Sahab’ – Fans react to Rohit Sharma’s BTS shots during promo shoot for Indian T20 League

The 16th edition of the Indian T20 League is just a few weeks away, and the franchises have started preparing for the upcoming tournament. Meanwhile, the promotions and the shoots have also been started to create more hype ahead of the cash-rich league.
The skipper of the Mumbai Franchise, Rohit Sharma is also going to be part of the tournament’s next promo for Star Sports as confirmed by his behind the scene during the shoot. Apart from Rohit, Gujarat’s skipper Hardik Pandya was also spotted during the shoot.

Rohit is currently leading the Indian team in an ongoing Test series against Australia. India are leading y 2-1 in a four-match Test series after winning the first two Test in Nagpur and Delhi, respectively. On the other hand, the Aussies made a great comeback in the third Test as they overpowered the hosts in Indore and won the Test match by 9 wickets. With this Australia also qualified for Test Championship final, while India are required to win in Ahmedabad to book their spot.
Gujarat to take on Chennai in an opening match
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya will be joining the Indian team for a three-match ODI series against the Baggy Green starting on March 17. Pandya is selected as the vice-captain and will also lead in the first game in Mumbai as Rohit will be unavailable due to family commitments.
Pandya led the Gujarat franchise to the title in their inaugural season in 2022 and his side will take on Chennai in the opening game at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on March 31. While Rohit is considered one of the most successful captains in the tournament’s history, leading the Mumbai franchise to the title five times in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. Rohit has also been awarded the most incredible captain in the Indian T20 League in an award ceremony organized by Star Sports on the occasion of 15 years of the tournament.
