Rohit Sharma would look to extend his form in the second Test against Australia

Meanwhile, the two-time World Championship winner scored an important hundred for India in the first Test against Australia. After the home team lost five wickets for 168 runs in reply to Australia’s 177 all-out, Sharma scored 120 runs. His innings helped the team provide some stability in the innings. Not to forget, he was the only centurion in the Nagpur Test.

After all, it was a difficult wicket to bat on. Despite this, the World Number Two Test side managed 400 runs in the first innings, thanks to Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja’s half-centuries. In reply, the Pat Cummins-led side was bowled out for 92 runs, losing the game by an inning and 132 runs. Now, the second game of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy is just one sleep away in Delhi.

The 35-year-old would look to carry on his good form in the next game. Talking about the series, India is leading it by 1-0
