Lucknow Super Giants player Naveen-ul-Haq clicked picture with the Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni after CSK’s clash with LSG at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. The Afghanistan cricketer got a chance to share a frame with Dhoni after the match.

Notably, the 45th match of IPL 2023 between LSG and CSK got washed off due to rain. Batting first, LSG scored 125 for 7 in 19.2 overs before rain decided to play a spoilsport. LSG didn’t had a great start as they lost 5 wickets for 44 runs in 9.4 overs. After that, Ayush Badoni took charge of the innings as he remained unbeaten on 59 runs off 33 balls. However, the match didn’t continue further, and both teams were given a point each.

Naveen has been in the headlines for the past few days after his on-field spat with Virat Kohli after LSG’s clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 1st. RCB defeated LSG by 18 runs by defending 126 runs at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. During the 17th over of the LSG’s innings, Naveen got involved in a verbal spat with Kohli. The RCB even showed his shoes before pointing toward Naveen.

After the match ended, Naveen again said something to Kohli when the players were shaking hands. However, Kohli ignored him and went on to shake another player’s hand. After that, Kohli and got involved in a heated conversation with LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir.

The conversation between Kohli and Gambhir got leaked

According to the Times of India, the conversation between Kohli and Gambhir also got leaked on the internet. An eyewitness, who was a part of one of the team’s dugout gave a lowdown of events.

The witness said, ““You saw on TV that Mayers and Virat were walking side by side for a few metres post-match. Mayers asked Kohli why was he constantly abusing them and Virat, in turn, questioned why was he (Mayers) ‘staring’ at him? Before that (Amit) Mishra had complained to umpire about Virat constantly abusing Naveen (ul-Haq), who is a No. 10 batter.”

“Gautam, sensing that things could turn ugly, pulled Mayers and told him not to have a conversation, when Virat made a comment. The heated exchange that followed seemed a bit juvenile,” he further added.

After that the witness gave a detailed explanation of the conversation between Kohli and Gambhir. He said, “Gautam asked ‘Kya bol raha hain bol’ (What were you saying?) and Virat replied, ‘Maine aapko kuch bola hi naahin, aap kyon ghus rahein ho’ (Why are you coming in between when I haven’t told you anything).

“Gautam responded, ‘Tuney agar mere player ko bola hai, matlab tune meri family ko gaali diya hai. (You abused my player and that’s like abusing my family) and Virat’s reply was, ‘Toh aap apne family ko sambhal ke rakhiye’. (Then you take care of your family).

“Gambhir’s final reply before they were separated was, ‘Toh ab tu mujhe sikhayega…’ (So now I have to learn from you…).”
