Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has gifted a pair of golden boots to a former India skipper Virat Kohli. The gifted boots are of the PUMA brand. Both players have been associated with the brand for a long-time just like they used to play for the country.

Both Singh and Kohli have played a lot of cricket together and share a good bond. Kohli made his international debut in 2008 against Sri Lanka. Singh last played an international game against the West Indies in 2017. The left-hander took to Instagram and posted a picture of the footwear and penned a long note praising the 33-year-old.

In the note, the 2007 T20 World Cup winner mentioned how the right-hander has inspired the new generation and is a modern-day legend. He also said that the Delhi cricketer has elevated his skills every year.

“Virat, I’ve seen you grow as a cricketer and as a person. From that young boy in the nets who would walk shoulder-to-shoulder with the legends of Indian cricket, you’re now a legend yourself leading the way for a new generation. Your discipline and passion on the field and dedication to the sport inspires every young kid in this country to pick up the bat and dream of putting on the blue jersey one day,” wrote Yuvraj.

“Mere liye tu hamesha Cheeku rahega aur duniya ke liye King Kohli. Always keep the fire inside you burning. You’re a superstar. Here’s a special golden boot for you. Keep making the country proud!” he concluded.
