Michael Vaughan weighs in on Pakistan Super League vs Indian T20 League debate, picks the best
The Indian T20 League has set a benchmark for franchise cricket. Today, every franchise tournament wants to be compared with the Indian T20 League. However, it’s not easy to match the standards set by TIL, with respect to the quality of cricket and even glamour and branding.
Among the most popular T20 tournaments is the Pakistan Super League as well. Former England captain Michael Vaughan is mighty impressed with PSL and rated it as the second-best T20 League in the world, after ITL. Vaughan also added that PSL is not too far from the Indian T20 League.
‘Pakistan Super league is the 2nd best T20 Tournament in the World .. it’s not far off the IPL either .. Outstanding standard of cricket’, tweeted Vaughan.

One of the biggest problems PSL has faced is the availability of overseas players. While several international cricketers have played in PSL, the big names are still missing which is a major flaw when compared to Indian T20 League. Also, the number of teams that play the PSL is 6, while the Indian T20 League has expanded to 10 teams. If PSL can work on these aspects, certainly it can be considered in the same league as Indian T20 League in the coming years.
