Mitchell Starc’s Lethal Bouncer Hits Suryakumar Yadav’s Helmet
Ahead of the start of the Super 12 stages of the 20-20 World Cup 2022, India is facing Australia in a warmup game. This match is serving as preparation for the mega event. Batting first, the Men In Blue did well to get to a decent total of 186/7, owing to half-centuries from KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav.
However, it was not all smooth sailing for Suryakumar. Towards the back end of the innings, the star batter was hit on the head with a lethal delivery from Mitchell Starc. In the 19th over of the match, Starc bowled a bouncer, which took off due to the playing conditions in Australia, and it hit Surya on the helmet.
The bowler immediately stopped to check in on the batter. Suryakuar, however, was ok and continued to bat. The video of the incident has since gone viral on the internet.
