Monday Night Raw witnesses faceoff between CM Punk and Seth Rollins

Monday Night Raw witnessed a direct faceoff between CM Punk and Seth Rollins for the first time. Since, Punk’s return to WWE, the two have confronted each other. The event took place following the disappointment of Rollins over the return of Punk to the WWE. The World Heavyweight champion was seemingly unhappy with Punk’s interruption in the Survivor Series 2023.

On Monday Night Raw, Punk signed the contract with Adam Pearce to join the Raw roster as a new superstar. After the affirmation of the contract, Rollins came face-to-face against Punk. Rollins then attacked Punk with verbal assaults. The former member of the Shield said that WWE is not the home of Punk, as the latter has been claiming it to be since his return.

Rollins asked Punk to not call it his home and added that he had no right to call it his home. He said that Punk has been slandering everyone. Rollins added that Punk abandoned everyone in WWE 10 years ago. “Don’t you dare call this place your home! You abandoned this place ten years ago; not only did you abandon it, but you actively tried to tear it down,” said Rollins.

CM Punk registers his name in Royal Rumble 2024

Rollins further said that he does not like Punk. The world champion added that he wanted everyone to understand that he hates Punk. “Let me make one thing clear, I don’t want there to be any confusion, I know I’m a bit worked up, but I want everyone to understand, but I’m going to say it plainly with every fiber in my being: I hate you,” said Seth Rollins.

As Rollins concluded his speech, Punk called Adam Pearce and confirmed his registration for taking part in Royal Rumble 2024. Punk added that he wants to face off with Rollins. The former world champion warned Rollins that he would be willing to face the latter in the WrestleMania 40. The entire segment between the two had the fans totally invested in it. The clash between the two in the upcoming days is expected to be exciting.
