Virat Kohli is known as one of the most decorated batters in the last decade of cricket. Since his debut on 2008, he has been delivering for his country across all three formats. However, on 18 August 2022, he completed his 14 years of journey with Team India. Virat also shared a montage on his social media platforms to share his gratitude. 

Fans also came up on their social media platforms to congratulate him on his exceptional journey so far. Currently, he has taken a rest from any cricketing action as India is busy playing the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Kohli shared the post with a caption: “14 years ago, it all started and it’s been an honour,” 

Virat Kohli has smashed 70 centuries in his career across all three formats

As of now, Virat Kohli has played 102 Tests, 262 ODIs, and 99 T20Is. Virat has scored 23726 runs in all three formats, including 70 centuries. He has managed 8074 runs in Tests, with 27 centuries. On the other side, he scored 12344 runs, with 43 tons in ODIs. Meanwhile, in T20Is, Kohli has scored 3308 runs with 30 half-centuries. He came into the limelight for the first time when he led India Under-19 team to the World Cup victory in 2008. Then, he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka at Dambulla. After that, Kohli played his first Test match against West Indies at Kingston on 20 June 2011. Meanwhile, in the shortest format of the game, he made his debut against Zimbabwe on 12 June 2010 in Harare.

 However, the Indian Cricket Board did not wish him on completing his 14-year journey in the Indian jersey. On the other hand, the same Board shared a congratulatory message or post for the current skipper Rohit Sharma’s 15-year journey with India. Hence, it did not go well with Virat Kohli’s fans. They came out loudly on social media platforms to raise questions about the attitude of the Board.
