MS Dhoni is a global ambassador, he has helped my career personally: Dwayne Bravo
Former West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has lavished praise on MS Dhoni. Bravo has played with the legendary cricketer for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The duo has been part of many memorable moments in the T20 tournament. In this year’s edition of IPL too, Bravo played his part in helping CSK win its fourth title.
The West Indian all-rounder said Dhoni has played a big role in helping his career. He also said the two have a great legacy with CSK. Bravo was not retained by CSK ahead of the IPL mega auctions. Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Moeen Ali were the four players the franchise in Yellow choose to go with. However, Bravo confirmed that he will be entering mega auctions.
“I am not retained by the CSK, but I will be in the auction, I will be 100 percent in the auction. I do not know which team I will end up with. I will end up where I am destined to be. I do not whether I will be picked up by CSK or not, I can be picked up by any other team as I am in the auction,” said Bravo.
The 38-year-old further opened his equation with Dhoni. He said he’s like a brother from another mother and told they have a strong friendship. “We all know that MS Dhoni and I call each other brothers from another mother. We have developed a strong friendship. He is a global ambassador of the game and he has helped my career personally. We both have a great legacy at CSK and we have helped in turning that franchise into one of the most dominant franchises and that will be there in the history books. We have a strong friendship and that is more important than anything else,” he added.
Earlier, Bravo had announced his retirement from T20Is for West Indies after the team’s exit in the Super 12 stage of the 20-20 World Cup.
