While Ravindra Jadeja has been one of India’s biggest match-winners in the recent past, he has been out of action for the last one month. However, he is working towards regaining his full fitness.
He was last seen during the first of the two-match Test series against New Zealand in Kanpur. However, he picked up an injury during that Test and was ruled out of the series. As the southpaw was still recovering from his swollen forearm, he couldn’t feature in the three-match Test series against South Africa.
Thus, while his teammates are playing in the rainbow nation in an attempt to win a series in that part of the world for the first time, the 33-year-old is away from the limelight. However, he recently took to Twitter to share a humorous post. He posted a photo of himself with a skeleton and wrote, “My Buddy after Keto diet”
Another important point to be noted is the fact that like Jadeja, even the limited-overs skipper Virat Kohli is suffering from an injury and thus, had to miss the second Test. Moreover, Sharma, as well as the Saurashtra all-rounder, are all set to miss the ODI series against the Proteas as well.
Nevertheless, both of them are absolute assets to the team and thus would walk into the XI once deemed fit. In the meanwhile, after a dominating performance in the first Test, the second Test at Johannesburg is evenly poised at the moment with both teams trying their best to win the game.
