‘My Superhero’ – Mohammed Siraj’s heartwarming post for Virat Kohli wins hearts

Mohammed Siraj has penned a heartfelt note for Virat Kohli after the veteran stepped down as India captain. Kohli’s call to vacate Test captaincy left the cricket fraternity stunned as no one saw that coming, especially given the fact that Kohli was not the limited-overs captain anymore. Nevertheless, Kohli enjoyed a decent run at the helm and took Indian cricket to great heights.
The cricket fraternity came together and hailed Kohli for his tremendous achievements. Mohammed Siraj is very close to Virat Kohli. The players play together for Bangalore in the Indian T20 League and share a great bond. Kohli backed Siraj for the Indian Test team and the pacer paid dividends by delivering match-winning performances.
Taking to Instagram, Siraj penned a heartwarming post for Virat Kohli. “To my superhero, I cannot be thankful enough for the support and the encouragement that I got from you. You have always been my great brother. Thank you for trusting me and believing in me for all these years. For seeing the great at my worst. You will always be my captain, King Kohli,” wrote Siraj.

Siraj has always been in high praise for Virat Kohli and never shies away from thanking Kohli for the support he has received from the former Indian captain. On Kohli’s 33rd birthday, Siraj had posted an adorable video and wrote, “Not everyone is as lucky as me to be blessed with an elder brother like you. Thank you so much for coming into my life and standing by my side through thick and thin. I hope you get all that you truly deserve. Happy Birthday King”
Meanwhile, Kohli will play his first ODI series as non-captain against South Africa, starting January 19 at Paarl. With pressure of captaincy off his back, he will be keen to play freely and possibly end his dry run.
