Naman Awards 2024 : Cricketers who have won most number of ‘Best International Cricketer of the Year’ award

The Indian Cricket Board on January 23 hosted an award night for the Indian cricketers in Hyderabad. After four long years, the city hosted the award show. A galaxy of cricket players and office-bearers descended upon Hyderabad for the award ceremony. One of the most memorable events was the Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, which was presented to Ravi Shastri and Farokh Engineer, two Indian cricket superstars.

Following four long years, the NAMAN celebration was conducted to reward the champions of the 2019–20, 2021–22, and 2022–23 seasons. Previous years’ COVID-19 protocols prevented the ceremony from happening. Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Shastri became the fifth member of the 1983 World Cup team. The Lifetime Achievement Award was previously given to Kris Srikkanth, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, and Syed Kirmani.

Shubman Gill, the current opener for India, was the 2022–2023 Polly Umrigar Award winner for the best international performance. Gill hit a lot of runs and had an amazing cricket season in all formats. In ODI cricket, Gill made a double-century and had outstanding performances in other formats.

3. Ravichandran Ashwin
