Australia’s great cricketer Nathan Lyon has recently opened up about the three best batters he has faced in his life during his Test career. Notably, the star cricketer is currently playing the Test series against Pakistan, where he has crossed the mark of 500 wickets in the ongoing Test series. Moreover, the 36-year-old cricketer is only the fourth cricketer in history to have achieved this feat; however, he is the only second in Australia to achieve this milestone in his cricketing career.

Notably, the Australian cricket team has already sealed the three matches of the Test series by 2-0, with the last match set to be played on January 3. Undoubtedly, Lyon played a very crucial role in winning the Test series against the Shan Masood-led Pakistan team.

However, looking back on his international career, Nathan Lyon revealed that he had faced three tough batters in his Test career during his recent interview. The right-arm off-spinner revealed the names of Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and AB de Villiers, against whom he had struggled to win the game.

“The best player I have played against, that’s a very hard question. I have played against some of the greats of the game. I will give you three (names), they will be Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and AB de Villiers,” Nathan Lyon said in an interaction with Sydney Cricket Ground’s official social media channel.

Moreover, Nathon Lyon was completely baffled when he was asked about the strategy to get them out of the game. The 36-year-old cricketer, however, reveals in last to get the legendary players out in the game. Notably, the clip of this video has been widely shared on social media, with some wonderful comments in it expressing appreciation for Lyon for picking up two legendary Indian batters.
“The secret to get them out, something that I struggle to do would be trying to challenge their defence for a long period,” he added further.
