‘New role matlab’- Fans react to MS Dhoni posting about new role ahead of IPL 2024
We all know that the opening game of the Indian Premier League is going to be between Chennai Super Kings(CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB). The people will be excited to see the battle between two iconic players in Indian players. Other than that, there have been some great games between the two sides in the past as well. It will be interesting to see what these two teams will have in store for us going into the first game of the tournament. It will also be in one of the most iconic grounds in Indian cricket known as the Chidambaram stadium.
As we all know there is one name that runs through everyone’s mind when they think of CSK. There might have been a lot of big players in the squad, but none better than MS Dhoni. The 42-year-old legend will be leading the franchise once again this season. Dhoni has been one of the best skippers for the yellow brigade leading them to 5 IPL titles. The fans will want another masterstroke from captain cool going into the tournament as well.
Dhoni teases new role
Recently on his Facebook page, Dhoni posted, “Can’t wait for the new season and the new role. Stay tuned.” This has made the fans curious about what could be the role he is talking about. Could it be a change in leadership or a new batting position? This has surely got everyone talking all around the cricketing world. There are speculations of an early retirement halfway as well, which is highly unlikely. However, we never know what Thala will have planned going forward.
This is a typical MSD style that has created a mystery all around. There will be a lot of talks about the plan of the CSK skipper. It could be a million things, but it seems like we have to wait for the season to start to know it. We are still excited to see MS Dhoni play this season assuming it also might be his last season as well. The new role in the franchise could mean a lot of things and many people will try to get to the bottom of it. The best thing to do is wait for it to be revealed in the upcoming tournament.
